Terms & Conditions

The rules that apply when you use Davilo and book a course with us.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
Davilo is an online German language institute operated by Autonomous Trade SPC, a company registered in the Sultanate of Oman (commercial registration 1600220), Murtafaat Al Matar Al Seeb, Muscat 121, Oman (“Davilo”, “we”).
These Terms & Conditions apply to the Davilo website, your Davilo account and every course you book with us. By creating an account or booking a course, you accept them. Our Refund Policy is part of these terms.
2. Our services
We teach German in live online classes along the CEFR levels A1 to C2. Classes take place on a video platform (currently Zoom) at the dates and times shown on the course page. Course pages also state the number of weeks, teaching units, the coursebook and the price.
Practice content in the Davilo App and free material on our website are provided as they are and may change over time.
3. Your account
- You must have full legal capacity to enter into a contract where you live. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must agree to the booking.
- The information you give us, including your name and email address, must be accurate and complete.
- Keep your login details private. You are responsible for activity in your account.
- Accounts are personal. Only the person enrolled may attend the classes.
4. Booking a course
Booking works in three steps:
- Request: you ask for a seat in a course. Standard courses require an assessed German level, for example from our level test.
- Approval: we check that the course fits your level and that a seat is free, then approve or decline your request. An approval reserves a seat for you for a limited time.
- Payment: your place is confirmed only once we have received the full course fee. The contract for the course is concluded at that moment.
You may cancel a request or an approved but unpaid reservation at any time, free of charge. If an approved reservation is not paid in time, we may cancel it and offer the seat to another learner.
5. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in euros (EUR) per course. Value added tax is added where it applies and is shown separately at checkout before you pay. Promo codes reduce the course price before VAT is calculated; each code can be used only under the conditions stated with it.
You can pay by PayPal or by cryptocurrency through our payment providers. Their own terms also apply to the payment. We never see or store your card or wallet credentials.
Payments may be subject to verification under the laws of Oman. We may delay a payment or an enrollment while such a check is carried out.
6. How courses run
- Each course needs a minimum number of participants. If it is not reached, we may cancel the course before it starts; our Refund Policy says what happens then.
- We may move a single session or replace the teacher for good reason, such as illness. We will tell you as early as possible.
- Sessions you miss are not repeated or refunded, unless we cancelled them.
- You need a stable internet connection and a device with a camera and microphone. We are not responsible for problems with your own equipment or connection.
- Please be on time and respectful towards teachers and other learners. Recording classes is not allowed without everyone’s consent.
7. Cancellations and refunds
Withdrawing from a paid course and refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which you can read on this page.
8. Course materials and intellectual property
All course materials, recordings, exercises, texts, graphics and software provided by Davilo are protected by intellectual property law. You may use them for your own learning only. You may not copy, share, publish, sell or modify them without our written permission.
9. Acceptable use and sanctions compliance
You must use our services lawfully. In particular, you may not:
- use Davilo in a way that breaches sanctions or export control laws that apply to you or to us;
- hide your identity or location to get around compliance checks;
- give access to persons who are listed on sanctions lists of the United Nations or the competent authorities of Oman;
- disrupt classes, harass other people or misuse the platform.
We may refuse a registration or booking, restrict access or close an account where we reasonably believe that continued access would breach the law or these terms.
10. Suspension and termination
You can close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or close an account if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, or where the law requires it. If we close your account without you being at fault, you receive a pro-rata refund for paid course sessions that have not taken place.
11. Liability
We teach with care, but we cannot guarantee a particular exam result, visa, job or training place. To the extent permitted by the laws of Oman, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for a course is limited to the fee you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Personal data
We process your personal data only to provide our services, to handle payments and to meet legal obligations, in line with the data protection rules that apply in the Sultanate of Oman. We may keep or disclose data where the law requires it.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman. The competent courts of Oman have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules that apply to you.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when our services or the law change. The version in force when you paid for a course applies to that course. We will show the date of the latest update on this page.
